WP4 intro
Harley Davidson motorcycles are and iconic american classic. The first Harley was built in 1903 so they have been around for over 100 years. Over these hundred years many things have changed, such as changing for old fashion flat heads to over head cams, going from air cooled to liquid cooled, Harleys have abs, and lots more. But not all these changes were for the best. In recent years The Harley Davidson company has decided to turn to a planned obsolescence form of manufactoring. What this means is that they know the motorcycle and/or parts on the motorcycle will break and they make it so these parts cannot be fixed but rather replaced. This is something that i think is wrong and is causing a lot of controversy in the motorcycle world.

Harley-Davidson motorcycles taking on the Japanese way of manufacturing motorcycles
Japanese motorcycle engines and other parts on the bike are made not to be fixed just to be replaced. Harley-Davidson is now taking on that form of manufacturing which puts small motorcycle shops out of business. Unless you are and official Harley dealer which cost millions.

How does this effect small motorcycle businesses that aren’t official Harley dealers.
Could this cause a domino effect on companies that produce new parts for Harleys.
